Re: The Relentless Prosecutorial Persecution of Donald Trump

Trump’s single biggest offense, in the eyes of faithful Democrats, are the successful appointments of Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett to the Supreme Court.  This led to the dismantling of Roe v. Wade. In this, Mr. Trump, for all his upsides and downsides, committed an unforgivable act of heresy, as abortion on demand is the gospel of modern Democrats. For this, he must be destroyed. —California

I appreciate Trump for his service; I am in awe of his tenacity facing the most relentless opposition perhaps in history, and deeply respect his lack of political history that avoided swampy entanglements and enraged nepotistic pols. But I am disappointed he would walk in front of the target, again. I think Gen. Custer would advise Trump to execute a different strategy. —Missouri

Trump is his own worst enemy. I voted for his policies, which we clearly need again. But we need a man of presidential character to advance those policies. Trump demonstrated he does not possess such character. —New York

Bravo, Alexander. This is a witch hunt that never stops. I have never seen any one man be targeted as Donald Trump has been. —Illinois

If these Marxists arrest Trump, the backlash may be unpredictable. Maybe it is about time… —Massachusetts

Re: Iraq 20 Years Later

We commit a grave error when we acquiesce to the myopic perspective that U.S. military sacrifices are in vain. Our nation’s founding irrevocably destined “We, the People” to test whether mankind’s dream to freely exercise the Creator-endowed rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness can be realized in this world, or if we are intractably doomed to a vain life exploited by rulers. Even when we cannot see it, lives sacrificed in pursuit of such freedoms are never in vain. —Missouri

Re: In Brief: If Barney Frank Were a Republican…

This is just another example of why this country is falling apart. Until Democrats and Republicans are looked at and judged equally, things will continue to erode. House Republicans are trying to get the corruption out in the open, but they can’t do it by themselves. When the DOJ and the FBI appear partisan, what hope do we have? —Illinois

Re: In Brief: The Right Cannot Afford to Abandon Public Education

All you say is true, but we not only built them, we let them slip slowly into the hands that hold them now. Nothing but a civil war on a campus-by-campus level is going to drive all this out. And it will come right back in as long as we favor degrees over politics. A person’s political views ARE what shapes their vocation, no matter what that may be. —Kentucky

Most homeowners/parents know we own public education. We know those who are administrating PE set the tone and character, and banning materials won’t stop them from spreading bent worldviews. I disagree that we gave it over; it was stolen! To take it back, we need a national conversation of where we’re going from here. Reset the requirements and responsibilities for administrators, teachers, parents, and students, then fire and rehire under the new rules. We need local control. We are their union and we don’t need the federal government in education except to “advise” on minimum standards for basics. To start: Stop routing money through the federal government; educate, don’t indoctrinate; have 12-month school with shorter breaks; and institute merit-based pay. —Oregon

Re: The American Market for Fentanyl

As a recovering addict with 30+ years away from drugs, I can attest to the lack of brotherhood or fellowship in much of our society. Even many churches fall short of giving their members a sense of belonging. We need to love one another because we are human. Instead, we have a pervasive hatred, and that hate is usually connected to skin color, dress, style, or personal choices. My favorite part of the anonymous programs is “we will love you till you can love yourself.” —Wisconsin

Re: Given Only the Honored

Several years ago, Hillsdale College had a multi-part online lecture program regarding the Constitution taught by Dr. Larry Arnn. Since then, any political statement made even by conservatives — yes, some I admire — that called the U.S. a “democracy,” “democratic republic,” “constitutional republic,” etc. has caused me to discount or ignore the article and made me reexamine my thinking regarding the author(s), as it concerned me they had the incorrect foundation for any political thoughts. Mr. Rhinehart got my immediate attention when I read “Federal Republic.” Therefore, I have archived this article and hold his remarks in high esteem. —Texas

Re: National Medal of Honor Day — Devotion: The Real Story

Lt. JG Hudner’s actions were far and above what most men will achieve in their lifetime. The citation for his MoH is beautiful and should be read by all. This is the true spirit of Brotherhood. —West Virginia

Re: Final Deployment: Vietnam

“Not because the Vietnamese are uneducated but because the truth of Christ’s sacrificial death for the human race is not complicated.” I appreciated this comment so much. So often we meet with other cultures and feel we must dumb ourselves down. On another blogspot, I’m currently conversing with a Chinese lady who is using that site to practice her English. She continually apologizes for her poor English, but I just tell her, “I only wish I spoke your language as well as you speak mine.” That cheers her up. May God continue to bless you, wherever He leads you. Many Americans need to understand the simple truth in the sweet story of Jesus and His sacrificial love for us. Thank you for the excellent article. —Kentucky
