Observations on the week’s analysis and commentary.

Editor’s Note: Thank you for sending comments on our news, policy, and opinion — we review every one of them. Here are a few reader perspectives, which don’t necessarily reflect those of The Patriot Post.

Re: NAACP’s Black Supremacists Target Gov. Ron DeSantis

“Race hustling pays or they wouldn’t be in the business of keeping the fires burning. The NAACP along with the SPLC are racist organizations that profit on keeping their own people down and divided.” —Oregon

“Like so many once-highly-esteemed organizations, the NAACP is just another of the dime-a-dozen organizations that have been coopted by leftist groups. The end result is always less freedom for those they claim to represent and greater power for those at the top pulling the puppet strings. These groups become the grifters’ golden-egg-dispensing goose.” —Virginia

Re: Clothing Companies Hate Women

“It is ironic that these companies are more interested in their ESG score than their customers, especially since most women love to clothes shop. I’ve read that the overlords who control the score threaten them with all manner of canceled advertising dollars, etc., but I guess none of these corporations has stopped to think that a high score won’t compensate for lost profits. Anheuser-Busch had a score of 100 for many years and has now lost billions after pissing off its customer base. I just hope conservative entrepreneurs are paying attention and will reach out to women who are fed up with stores that don’t think they matter as much as the Rainbow Mafia.” —Pennsylvania

Re: Those Crazy Environmentalists Are at It Again

“Many years ago the enviro wackos lit new construction houses on fire and pounded nails in trees, which caused harm to chainsaws and loggers. They deface and destroy property, and this time polluted water, which had to be replaced. Until these criminals are sent to jail for their crimes, nothing will change.” —Minnesota

“The relentless assault on Western Civilization may seem chaotic, incoherent, irrational, painfully annoying, and costly, but it’s mostly symbolic and insignificant. This diversion conceals the profound and irrevocable changes being implemented via ESG. Western Civilization dominates the world because it achieves unprecedented advances in living standards, health, wealth, and freedom. But malevolent forces lead naïve masses with pernicious promises. Ironically, only the wealth of Western Civilization could afford guilt-assuaging luxuries such as ESG.” —Missouri

Re: Indict the ‘Trump/Russia Collusion’ Conspirators: Clinton/Comey/Brennan

“Terrific analysis! Best I have read on the ‘Trump/Russia’ fabrication. And Alexander’s conclusion is spot on: ‘My prediction is … wait for it … Clinton and the rest of the crew walk. And the result will be a greater level of distrust in the central government than at any time in generations.’” —North Carolina

“Remember during the Bill Clinton administration that a number of FBI files went missing. Some time later, Hillary Clinton happened to find those files on a desk in an office. With the actions and non-actions of the FBI in recent years, I cannot help but wonder if those files were of information of the higher-ups in the FBI ranks, and Hillary now had information on them that they did not want released.” —Washington

“With the prosecution of some of the J6 protestors on dubious charges like seditious conspiracy, without such a crime having been committed, I cannot conscience the thought that these conspirators to actual sedition will not be charged, convicted, and sentenced for their crimes against the people and the Constitution of the United States. How do we take our country back from these seditious traitors?” —New Jersey

“The damage done to our status in the international arena is incalculable. We can now be regarded as little more than another third-world hellhole with a government controlled by a cabal of power-hungry rent seekers.” —Kentucky

Re: Covering for the Clintons

“I agree with what you say and the fact that Hillary should’ve been in prison long ago for her crimes under Bill’s watch. But I have a question regarding ‘Conservatives and freedom-loving Americans must seriously confront the corruption at the FBI.’ It certainly needs to be done. Any ideas how regular people manage this? All we have is voting (which is not promising given the Dems’ expert level of rigging), writing our congressman, and posting on social media (provided it’s not censored by socialists). We rely on the people we elect to take on the stuff we can’t do because it’s their job. Columnists like yourself also have a soapbox that average Americans do not, and I hope you use it on our behalf since we don’t have other options.” —Pennsylvania

Re: The Deeply Debilitated Democrats

“‘… at least in California, no Republican stands a chance in a special election.’ Not in Pennsylvania either, where years of inbreeding have resulted in Dems who happily voted for Fetterman because they only look for the "D” on a ballot. And besides, he’s a native who also lives for football and beer. Josh Shapiro is our new governor, and from all reports has been running for president since high school. He’s a socialist through and through and will happily do whatever the Dem overlords tell him to, which is why he figures he’s a shoe-in for the White House one of these days. He understands the need to obey without question and simply parrot the party line, which is why he makes such a good Democrat.“ —Pennsylvania

Re: Debt Ceiling Showdown

"Since the ball is on Speaker McCarthy’s end of the court, for each day that Biden doesn’t agree to the spending reduction bill, another reduction of funding should be added to the bill. There is more than enough excess in the budget. Certainly a few more subsidies could be chopped away.” —Montana

Re: Tuesday: Below the Fold

“Governor Roy Cooper, when NC attorney general, refused to enforce laws he did not agree with and refused to obey the assembly and governor. Now he is pandering to blacks, LGBTQers, teachers, and unions because he wants a higher position with more power, likely in Washington, DC. God help the United States if Democrats elect him to anything higher than janitor.” —North Carolina

“Power blackouts kill. Livestock die; even free-range livestock need shelter that uses power. Crops will rot if storing, processing, and harvesting are reduced due to blackouts. The sick, babies, and elderly will suffer and some will die. The young and healthy will survive, but still suffer loss of optimum health with effects lingering for decades or life.” —Montana

Re: Biden’s Denigration of American Military Patriots

“Thank you for posting this DEI Flag Officer letter in full. It makes clear the extent to which Biden and his DOD have eroded our military readiness and, thus, national security. As a recently retired senior Army flag officer, I will be signing on too.” —California
