American Airlines: Your ID Is Mandatory
The abject hypocrisy of corporate virtue-signaling.
First it was Atlanta-based Woca-Cola jumping on the bandwagon of corporations objecting to voter integrity.
Then Delta Airlines, Georgia’s largest employer, chastised Georgia legislators for strengthening election integrity. Delta CEO Ed Bastian made his position crystal clear: “I need to make it crystal clear that the final bill is unacceptable and does not match Delta’s values.” Apparently, Delta’s “values” include promoting the Democrats’ bulk-mail ballot fraud strategy.
Now comes word that American Airlines has joined the virtue-signaling party after Texas legislators prepared to pass voter identification requirements to ensure election integrity in their state.
But American Airlines CEO Doug Parker may wish to reconsider the abject hypocrisy of this race-hustling charade. And Delta has the same problem.
No, I am not talking about the fact that you can’t get on one of their flights anywhere in the world without a government-issued photo ID. I am talking about the fact that most of the countries they serve around the world require voter IDs to vote. Evidently, most nations prefer election integrity.
According to John Lott, who most recently served as senior adviser to the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy, dealing with voter fraud is a key issue:
Of 47 nations surveyed in Europe — a place where, on other matters, American progressives often look to with envy — all but one country requires a government-issued photo voter ID to vote. … Seventy-four percent of European countries entirely ban absentee voting for citizens who reside domestically. Another 6% limit it to those hospitalized or in the military, and they require third-party verification and a photo voter ID. Another 15% require a photo ID for absentee voting. Similarly, government-issued photo IDs are required to vote by 33 nations in the 37-member Organistion for Economic Co-operation and Development (which has considerable European overlap).
In fact, voter identification is required in most of the nations served by AA and Delta around the world. I think these woke airlines should be boycotted until they stop requiring IDs to board their flights.
