Recently, billionaire tech tycoon Elon Musk sat down for an interview with Jordan Peterson. Hosted by The Daily Wire, the interview focused on Musk’s most recent venture, his Artificial Intelligence development company xAI, but the conversation quickly delved into deeper questions of metaphysical and philosophical interests, such as the definition and limits of consciousness.

At one point, Musk appeared to reveal his motivation for developing AI technology, which he considers “potentially more dangerous than nukes.”

The issue for Musk boils down to the same issue for conservatives and their views on mainstream media: upholding the truth over and against the lies of woke ideology. Musk points to the danger of AI pushing a destructive or dangerous ideology onto society. He imagines, for example, a scenario in which AI forces DEI upon us “by whatever means necessary.”

This is one of the reasons why Musk created a super PAC, the America PAC, although he clarified he’s not giving the widely reported $45 million a month. While it will benefit Donald Trump in his election bid, Musk was quick to point out that his focus was not simply on helping Trump; rather, it was much bigger. “The intent is to support the principles that made America great in the first place,” he states. He then quipped, “I wouldn’t say that I’m MAGA. … I think America is great. I’m more MAG, make America greater.”

Musk then delineated a number of core values that he views as the pillars of America’s greatness. One of those values is meritocracy. This, he says, is why he is so opposed to DEI.

Another value he listed was freedom, which he said meant having the least amount of government intervention possible.

Eventually, the topic of transgenderism came up, specifically as it relates to children. Musk called gender-affirming care “a terrible euphemism,” instead labeling it “child mutilation and sterilization.”

“It’s evil,” he said. “You’re taking kids who are far below the age of consent.” He added, “It’s very possible for adults to manipulate children who are having an actual identity crisis into believing that they are the wrong gender.”

Peterson then asked why he was willing to take issue with it. Musk responded: “Well, it happened to one of my older boys. I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys, Xavier. This was really before I had any understanding of what was going on, and we had COVID going on, so there was a lot of confusion. And I was told Xavier might commit suicide.”

Musk went further: “I was tricked into doing this. It wasn’t explained to me that puberty blockers are actually just sterilization drugs. I lost my son, essentially. They call it ‘deadnaming’ for a reason. The reason they call it ‘deadnaming’ is because your son is dead. So my son, Xavier, is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”

Then Musk said, “So I vowed to destroy the woke mind virus after that. And we’re making some progress.”

Musk’s gut-wrenching admission goes a long way toward explaining why he acquired Twitter and why he’s become progressively more involved in this fight — because he’s experienced firsthand just how destructive this evil ideology is.
