This week’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) has been an amalgamation of all the worst parts of leftism. Rabid protesters are howling at the barrier walls surrounding the convention (I guess Democrats think walls work only when they’re applied to the DNC) and mobile “health clinics” are parked outside offering free abortions and vasectomies.

The DNC also released its 2024 platform in which the Democrats say the quiet part out loud regarding illegal immigration. Namely, they want as many illegals here in the States as they can gather; furthermore, they want to give illegals voting rights so that they can return the favor and vote to keep Democrats in power.

Here is part of the Democrat plan for “expanding legal immigration and deterring illegal immigration”:

America is a nation of immigrants. The legal immigration framework was last updated in 1990 and does not reflect the needs of our country in the 21st century. Many immigrants today are forced to wait years, and often decades, to immigrate lawfully to the United States. A robust immigration system with accessible lawful pathways and penalties for illegal immigration alleviates pressure at the border and upholds our values. The U.S. Citizenship Act would permanently increase family-sponsored and employment-based immigration. The bipartisan border legislation would increase the number of immigrant visas that are available by 250,000 over 5 years.

The U.S. Citizenship Act would expedite voting rights for illegal immigrants. As The Daily Wire summarizes, “The 352-page U.S. Citizenship Act, which has no Republican co-sponsors, essentially creates a pathway by which all 10 million illegal immigrants in the country are allowed to permanently reside here. Very few crimes would exclude an illegal immigrant from being made a permanent resident under the act. Migrants are eligible for reclassification so long as they have not committed a felony in 10 years, or three or more misdemeanors in five years.”

This is a very shortsighted plan that erases American culture. When you don’t give immigrants time to assimilate and naturally find their place within a new culture, you are setting that culture up for chaos and turmoil. See the UK.

This platform should be a nonstarter for anyone with a brain. We are already drowning in illegal immigration, and the stakes are only getting higher with each dead American, whether by the hand of an illegal or by the pouring of drugs over the border. Every policy that the Democrats have come up with to “save” the border has turned to pot.

Here is another prime example. In an ironic turn of events, the Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (CHNV) parole initiative — the one touted at the DNC as their poster program showcasing their success — has just been shut down for fraud since mid-July. The Department of Homeland Security found that a number of the U.S.-based immigrant “sponsors” were lying in order to exploit these migrants, particularly children.

As if this weren’t horrifying enough, another related report just came to light that should break everyone’s heart.

Almost 32,000 unaccompanied minors have vanished since crossing the border. They failed to show up for their deportation hearing. Moreover, almost 300,000 children have yet to even be given court dates.

DHS claims to care about unaccompanied immigrant children, so why have so many fallen through the cracks? With these sorts of numbers, DHS shouldn’t be trusted with a pencil sharpener, let alone the well-being of a migrant child. How many of these children are now victims of human trafficking? How many of them are missing or dead? DHS certainly doesn’t care enough to find out.

All of this was allowed to happen because of Border Czar Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden. And don’t be fooled by the leftist gaslighting about Harris not being the border czar. “A few weeks ago, calling Kamala the Border Czar would get you in trouble,” remarked. “According to the DNC speakers … she single-handedly fixed the entire border problem.”

There are too many illegals flooding the border; too many fraudsters, traffickers, and monsters prowling for the vulnerable. It is a humanitarian crisis made worse by the soulless bureaucrats and politicians who have allowed this to continue. So much for the party of “compassion.”
