Re: The Hysterical Drone Hysterics

“Closing in on two decades as a an F/A 18 Navy pilot, I have seen some anomalous aircraft over the years, most recently off the coast of Virginia — NAS Oceana. However, all the hype over drones is laughable. There may be some government/security application for deployment of some of the drones in question, though the legitimate drone sightings fit the profile of civilian models. Thank you to The Patriot Post for speaking reason and logic into the media-drive hysteria.” —Virginia

“While I agree with the idea that most of the sightings are bogus and we are probably being trolled by dronesters, perhaps the drones could be put to better use looking for intelligent life in DC.” —New Hampshire

“It is possible that some of the drones may be part of a search for nuclear medicine hospital ‘waste,’ as suggested by one unnamed government security analyst. There is a report that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission was notified on December 2 about this issue, so maybe that is a factor.” —New York

Re: The Hegseth Questions

“As a longtime reader and supporter, I know The Patriot Post’s analysis on issues related to DOD leadership, national defense, and national security is highly focused and informed. The report on Tim ‘Stolen Valor’ Walz, who was potentially going to be one heartbeat away from becoming commander-in-chief, was the most comprehensive anywhere. While I think Hegseth will be successful, if unconventional, at DOD, there is a long list of more qualified ‘bomb-droppers’ than this guy.” —California

Re: The Hatred Behind the Murder of a Healthcare CEO

“Luigi is the grandchild of Italian immigrants. They worked very hard in spite of being called anarchists and swarthy papists. Italians were often treated worse than blacks because they were Catholic. This family succeeded. Is that privilege or merit? Luigi worked hard in school. Signs of problems developed after a debilitating back operation and the prescribed drugs he used for pain. Looks as if he was showing withdrawal symptoms at the courthouse. It didn’t help to have the press taunt him. He was a good kid all his life who probably became a monster assassin. Charity doesn’t stop as we pray for the victim and his family.” —Texas

Re: Friday Short Cuts

“I have to strongly disagree with Matt Margolis. The attack on Brian Thompson has little to do with healthcare and everything to do with the Marxism infection we are suffering in this society. The assailant committed this evil act because he thought that capitalism is evil, and the only way to end it is to physically attack it. He wasn’t even directly affected by Mr. Thomson’s company in any way. He just saw them as a symbol of the thing he had been indoctrinated to hate. There is no ‘right’ to healthcare.” —Texas

Re: Thursday: Below the Fold

“Biden, Blinken, Sullivan, and Milley have never been held accountable for the disgusting disaster of the Afghanistan withdrawal. All of them should have been charged with lying, obstruction, and the deaths of the 13 service members who were killed and those who were injured. They failed to rescue the people who were left behind. Also, Senator Warren should be booted from the Senate for saying that the murder of a healthcare CEO was understandable because people can only stand so much.” —Minnesota

Re: The BLM Dog No Longer Hunts

“I have the same advice for BLM big-mouth rabble-rousers that I do for elitists on both coasts who hate this country: If you think it’s so bad, get the heck out. Find some other country that would put up with your crap like we have, much less reward you for your criminal activity with interviews and fawning media attention as the Left always does with people of this ilk.” —Pennsylvania

Re: What’s Next for Daniel Penny?

“Daniel, it is to your benefit that people like AOC, BLM, and other racists are not happy with justice, but justice did prevail, finally. If you were black or the suspect had been white, none of this would have been an issue. However, America has many racists who call others racist just because of skin color. Yet they don’t seem to see the irony in their actions. Stay safe.” —California

Re: Biden’s Economy Stumbles Out the Door

“Last-minute spending by the Biden administration has planted another inflation bomb that will go off in a few months. While Trump’s tariff proposals will likely be deflationary, contrary to leftist claims, they may stagnate parts of the economy and confuse the issue when the next Bidenflation bomb detonates. Trump should put those on hold unless they’re needed to gain cooperation on illegal immigration matters.” —Minnesota

Re: Can Trump’s Tax Reforms Survive the Swamp a Second Time?

“One reform that should have been made long ago is permitting an inflation correction to the cost basis for capital gains. If you invested $1,000 in 2021, then sold for $1,050 last year, you would have lost $150 because the 20% Biden inflation changed the actual cost to $1,200 in value at the time of sale. Yet under present law, you paid tax on $1,050 - $1,000, when you should have been able to deduct $1,050 - $1,200.” —Minnesota
