“It’s a disgrace that these woke CEOs still collect their largesse while the people they really hurt — their employees — suffer when customers stay away.”

Re: About That Cracker Barrel Rebranded Brand Rebrand

“Being from the South, Cracker Barrel was of course one of our go-to places to visit and eat. When my two boys were reaching a ‘working age,’ one got a job on the retail side, the other in the restaurant. We knew well both the district and store managers, even stopping in Lebanon to visit the ‘furnishings’ location where all the antique knickknacks are stored for future use. We were saddened by the newest CEO’s actions and truly hope common sense prevails.” —Texas

“If there is anything being removed from Cracker Barrel, it should be Julie Masino.” —Nevada

“Thanks, Alexander, for reminding us all that the Cracker Barrel CEO’s DEI fubar was just an extension of the Democrat Party’s latest fubar. It desperately needs a rebrand after one of the Democratic National Committee members declared this week, ‘To my Republican friends … who profess to be active Christians, I remind them that DEI is the very foundation of the Christian church.’ I think that’s in the Ten Commandments!” —Tennessee

“Customers had plenty of advance notice this was coming, not the least of which was the list of DEI and homosexual advocacy initiatives over the last 10 years. The past few times I went to CB were disappointing. I hope it returns to the nostalgic atmosphere, menu, and values, but I have doubts.” —Florida

“To Alexander’s point, it’s a disgrace that these woke CEOs still collect their largesse while the people they really hurt — their employees — suffer when customers stay away.” —Pennsylvania

“Not only should Ms. Masino be fired, but stockholders should call for an emergency meeting to fire the board members who sided with her DEI gender pandering, which has been damaging the Cracker Barrel brand.” —California

“Does a [input Ivy League name] MBA include a mandatory course on how to destroy a company? Bud Light, Jaguar, Target, Sears, Borders Books, and now Cracker Barrel (though Masino never got an advanced degree) are just some of many companies with significant self-inflicted wounds. The answer on the final exam has to be ‘clueless leadership surrounded by yes-men.’ Or is it more appropriate to say ‘yes-persons’?” —New Hampshire

“Another example of an out-of-touch CEO bowing to the PC hordes who are not their customer base. I feel for the 70,000 Cracker Barrel employees who will unfortunately bear the brunt of Masino’s cupidity.” —California

Re: Cali’s Commie Commissar Karen

“Putting the words ‘communist’ and ‘incompetent’ in the same paragraph is redundant. They are like the dog chasing a car. If they catch it, they have no idea what to do with it. Gavin and Karen are perfect examples of those dogs!” —North Carolina

Re: Is Trump’s Stake in Intel Socialism, Fascism, or Something Else?

“The grants under the CHIPS Act are unconstitutional and therefore illegal to begin with. Any attempt on the part of the federal government to insinuate itself into becoming a stockholder in a private business using such grants as leverage is therefore also illegal. Such a proposal represents the further erosion of our Constitution via state ownership of production as described in Marx’s Communist Manifesto.” —Kentucky

“One possible problem is a future administration using the threat of dumping these shares as a means of political extortion or retaliation. Government insider trading is another. If acceptance of shares is to be a permissible practice, whether donated or otherwise, Congress should stand up an investment advisory committee to make recommendations on sales, with protections against insider trading. Meanwhile, dividends would help with Social Security payouts.” —Minnesota

“Much as I’m suspicious (to say the least) of government takeovers or even partial ownership of private companies, in the case of Intel (which has significant national security and defense ramifications), we must wonder what the alternative is. I’d much rather the U.S. have 10% of Intel than Communist China having any part of it. Or does it already?” —Arizona

Re: The Status of the Navy: Part III

“I agree with the main point of this article — our Navy, which is critical to success in the Indo-Pacific region, is vastly too small, and both parties have failed to provide funding and resources in the past. But Navy leadership must also shoulder significant responsibility for the sad state of affairs. This is particularly true when looking at the acquisition process and the lack of accountability for failure. The LCS, the F-35, the USS Ford, the USS Constellation — all are programs that were/are criminally over budget and off schedule. Concurrent development, lack of appetite suppression for new requirements, and ‘pie in the sky’ promises from contractors have all contributed. How is the FFG-62 already years behind schedule and many millions over budget?” —Arizona

“Regarding the Manhattan Project, the United States was not the only nation to recognize the potential of nuclear weapons. Nazi Germany was known to be working on them; the British destroyed a heavy water plant in Norway that was part of the project. In the 1990s, the Allies declassified a report that in early 1945, the Germans sent a submarine loaded with uranium oxide to Japan so the Japanese could continue the development, but Germany (including the submarine) surrendered before it could arrive.” —Minnesota

Re: Gavin Trump’s Perilous Parody

“The danger isn’t Gavin Newsom. It’s that after seven months of enormous policy wins and the Democrats polling somewhere between head lice and turds in swimming pools, the Republicans still (rightly so) fear losing the midterms, effectively ending Trump’s presidency and probably resulting in his impeachment. Never underestimate the Republicans’ (or Trump’s) penchant for self-immolation in an atmosphere where half the electorate is either crazy or dumb as rocks.” —Oklahoma

Re: President Autopen’s Legally Questionable Pardons

“The worst-case scenario is that somebody in the Biden administration was paid to put names on the clemency list. Unfortunately, it seems to be a more probable motive than misguided compassion for ignoring normally disqualifying circumstances, such as crimes of violence associated with drug dealing. That possibility requires a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the ‘pardon-orama.’” —Minnesota

Re: Trump, Flag Burning, and 3-D Chess

“Unfortunately, Justice Scalia didn’t live to see just how Soviet/ungodly the American Left is. He didn’t see the rise of transgenderism and anti-girls/women politics. The Left likes to put crosses in urine and burn American flags, and it wants males in female sports and private spaces, but it becomes hysterical if illegals are deported, lawbreakers are jailed, and Korans are burned. Keep America American.” —Texas
