“The federal government should get out of providing funds to colleges and universities. Full stop. No matter the guidelines and restrictions on using the funds, schools will always find a way to get around them and promote their agenda. Money is fungible! Stop the federal largesse to colleges and universities, including the billions given in research grants, and let them fend for themselves. “I agree that the Noble Peace Prize has lost its worth, especially after the board gave the award to Obama before he did anything! He was chosen to win the award the moment he was elected because of his words, not his deeds — which, as outlined in this piece, clearly did not bring peace. His presidency is what started this current tailspin our country is now facing from within. President Trump shouldn’t accept the Nobel Peace Prize on principle, but this is Donald J. Trump we’re talking about. Why would he ever in a million years turn down any award, let alone the Nobel Peace Prize? He’ll accept it and then brag about it for the remainder of his life. “My wife is Ukrainian. I am not, but we both struggle with depression and angst over the war in Ukraine. We are often in tears over the nightly attacks in Kiev, Lviv, Dnipro, Ivano, or some other city. Her cousin — at or near the front lines since the beginning — was seriously injured and is convalescing, yet he still might be sent back into the fight.
