“The Nobel award may be a farce, but I think if awarded Trump should graciously accept it just so we can watch the collective explosion of Democrats’ heads.”

Re: Celebrating America’s Most Intrepid Patriots, Past and Present

“I was among the Veterans who turned out to greet the Medal of Honor train as it arrived in Ringgold, Georgia, where Union troops abandoned The General in April of 1862. Having only been witness to our reception for the recipients in our small town, I greatly appreciated this article on the weeklong celebration!” —Georgia

“My view is shared by the recipients in attendance. Let me just say that returning to the birthplace of the Medal of Honor was a great experience. Thank you to Chattanooga for hosting us this year. Indeed, you have a great patriotic city!” —Ohio

“As a Vietnam Veteran, please tell your team how much I love your daily digests. They provide us clear indications of the challenge ahead, but are also encouraging. And the humor posts are good for the heart! Thank God for your team!” —Virginia

Re: Trump’s Plan to Reform Higher Education

“Why aren’t teacher salaries based on student achievement? In the outside world, salaries, promotions, and maintaining the job are based on performance. Why exactly are teachers exempt?” —Illinois

“The federal government should get out of providing funds to colleges and universities. Full stop. No matter the guidelines and restrictions on using the funds, schools will always find a way to get around them and promote their agenda. Money is fungible! Stop the federal largesse to colleges and universities, including the billions given in research grants, and let them fend for themselves. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say colleges and universities are to be funded from our tax dollars.” —California

Re: The National Guard Fight in Portland and Chicago

“Pull federal agencies from these cities, along with every penny the federal government provides. Let the citizens of those cities have what they voted for. They voted for Democrats and the liberal agenda.” —Montana

“It’s clear Democrats have no interest in upholding the law. Perhaps a better answer than sending in the National Guard would be for federal LEOs (DEA, ATF, ICE, FBI) to concentrate their efforts on one location at a time. Bring in a greater number of agents and arrest the demonstrators and rioters on federal charges without having to wait for the local PD.” —California

“It’s always a problem when someone tries to actually do something in politics. The other side has a problem with something actually working! Things are out of control in Democrat-run states. How about all states live by the law. Criminals go to jail. Illegals go back to their countries of origin. Murderers get put to death. Mentally disturbed people get to live in asylums before they hurt people on the street.” —Illinois

Re: Dems Ramp Up the Violent Rhetoric

“The despicable Left is pushing all the boundaries with its hate. And let’s call it exactly what it is — hate! It’s gone from a sickness to an epidemic. Long gone are the days of civility and tolerance. I was just reading about JFK. His views were more Republican than Democrat. I wonder how he would be viewed today by his party that has now gone off the rails. When that party and a good chunk of its followers have left their senses, how do we cope? How do we respond? Pray to God for wisdom and guidance. ‘There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.’ (Proverbs 14:12)” —North Carolina

Re: Trump Should Refuse the Nobel Peace Prize if Awarded

“I agree that the Noble Peace Prize has lost its worth, especially after the board gave the award to Obama before he did anything! He was chosen to win the award the moment he was elected because of his words, not his deeds — which, as outlined in this piece, clearly did not bring peace. His presidency is what started this current tailspin our country is now facing from within. President Trump shouldn’t accept the Nobel Peace Prize on principle, but this is Donald J. Trump we’re talking about. Why would he ever in a million years turn down any award, let alone the Nobel Peace Prize? He’ll accept it and then brag about it for the remainder of his life. And rightly so, because he actually deserves it!” —California

“The Nobel award may be a farce, but I think if awarded Trump should graciously accept it just so we can watch the collective explosion of Democrats’ heads.” —Massachusetts

Re: My Fatal Heart Condition

“My wife is Ukrainian. I am not, but we both struggle with depression and angst over the war in Ukraine. We are often in tears over the nightly attacks in Kiev, Lviv, Dnipro, Ivano, or some other city. Her cousin — at or near the front lines since the beginning — was seriously injured and is convalescing, yet he still might be sent back into the fight. As a person who continues to struggle with issues of hate and bitterness, I appreciate this commentary.” —Oklahoma
