Re: Virginia, Sic Semper Tyrannis?
“An excellent summary of the challenges we face in Virginia. Many of my moderate Democrat friends were caught off guard by how fast Spanberger went from moderate to unbridled leftists, as reflected in the polls Alexander linked.” —Virginia
“Somehow, having Spanberger at Monticello as the keynote speaker for comments on America’s 250th anniversary of our independence and Liberty seems like the hubris of hypocrisy.” —Florida
“Virginia, just a West Coast to East Coat warning: Stop them now. Once they deepen their roots, it is difficult to uproot them.” —California
Re: The Dems’ Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Weekend
“Let’s take a quick look at the historical and extremely effective election day strategies used by the Democrats to win the vote: 1. Steal it. 2. Rig it. 3. Buy it. 4. Race bait. 5. Class warfare. 6. Wealth envy. 7. Scare tactics. 8. In general, cheat. I would say, for sure, the SCOTUS rulings will impact #1 and #2, which is a great start. However, that still leaves #3-8. Let’s not forget that these have been tried and true strategies in the Dems’ playbook for decades. Therein lies a mind-numbing reality: A good chunk of the voting public is simple-minded, ignorant, and easily swayed. So, for now, we can claim victory over #1 and #2, but how do we claim victory over the rest?” —North Carolina
Re: Left-Wing Haters Lament That an Assassin ‘Missed Again’
“I cannot stand Obama or Biden, but I would never wish harm on them. The Left has lost all moral decency and only cares about winning, power, and authority. If Democrats ever gain power again, God help us. The GOP must fight back, but not by lowering ourselves and wallowing in the mud pit like the Democrats.” —Texas
“The far-left Democrat Party is trying to turn the United States of America into a third-world country, one where there is no moral code and assassinations are an accepted way of gaining political power. This Democrat Party is evil!” —South Carolina
Re: The Preposterously Foolish Wisdom of AOC
“AOC and her fellow Marxists bring to mind an expression that my father used to, lovingly and jokingly, apply to me: if you had half a brain, you would be dangerous. Upon reflection, as one of the many who are diametrically opposed to her nonsense, I would say she is, barely, functioning on way, way less than half a brain.” —North Carolina
“Once they’re back in power, her party will ram a trillion-dollar tax hike down our throats while ignoring the continuing fraud they have fought tooth and nail to prevent from being uncovered, all to keep the federal gravy train on its track. Democrats never met a tax they didn’t like, and to listen to this idiot talk about government fleecing people like me for at least twice as much as I should owe is the height of insults.” —Oklahoma
“Just let her keep talking. The longer she talks, the more inane she sounds. Just like the rest of the liberals do. You can’t make this stuff up.” —Missouri
Re: Barack Obama, Master Gaslighter
“Reading all of your above commentary, I agree with you 100%. So I’ve decided that Barack Obama is the ‘leader of the pack’ in so many damaging ways.” —California
Re: The Most Dangerous Media Bias Is the One That Pretends Not to Exist
“What a great read. All media have biases. My mother taught me a trick for reading and listening to news stories: look for adjectives and adverbs. Those adjectives and adverbs are meant to sway the story.” —Wisconsin
Re: May Day Grievances and Activism: Then vs. Now
“As an elementary school student in Kansas, I remember May Day as a loving example in our school. We prepared by making colorful baskets in which we placed beautiful flowers and then ‘secretly’ traveling to our neighbor’s front porch to place the hanging basket on the doorknob. We’d knock, ring the bell, and run! Much more loving than our ‘causes’ of today.” —Kansas
Re: Texas Has a Muslim Problem
“Ataturk turned Turkey into a fairly modern secular state by suppressing Islam with means such as outlawing the Muslim beard and Muslim garb for women. We cannot let the First Amendment be a suicide pact. The Nazi Party was outlawed in Germany for good reason.” —Texas
“Radical Islamist Muslims who practice Sharia have been murdering Jews and Christians around the world for centuries. They are incompatible with our way of life and refuse to assimilate, so we don’t want or need them in Texas or anywhere else in this country. Allowing these heathens, with their rape gang culture, to take over the UK and other countries is a prime example of suicidal empathy. The U.S. is next on their list, and we must prevent this at all costs!” —Alabama
Re: Losing the Rich Doesn’t Bother the Left
“Democrats have not learned any basic economics. They will soon be trying to pass laws that require anyone who has left the state to pay taxes for 10 years or more after they have already established residence in a red state. Their states will continue to spiral into bankruptcy until their policies change.” —Texas
Re: Invisible Steering: AI, Public Opinion, and Free Speech
“I think that the power and reach of AI is disconcerting. That tool does indeed lead us in certain directions without giving us the ‘two sides to every story.’ A friend of mine once said that Satan will tell us a thousand truths so that we’ll believe one lie.” —Utah
