Clinton’s Campaign Advice
Bill says run on ObamaCare.
Bill Clinton offered incumbent Democrats some campaign advice by encouraging them to embrace the ObamaCare albatross. “What I advise the Democrats to do is talk about the good things that have happened under the bill,” he said, despite the fact nothing good has come of it. “Acknowledge the problems and say, ‘Let’s do what sensible people would do.’ We had a problem we had to deal with. Albert Einstein couldn’t have done it perfectly the first time. Now let’s set a long-term repair process.” Einstein probably wouldn’t have been stupid enough to shove this disaster down America’s throat, either. Clinton added that constituencies “can handle the truth,” but the problem there is that Democrats aren’t offering the truth. He did have one caveat: “[T]here may be some places where the well may be so poisoned” that incumbents won’t have a choice but to run from the issue. Whatever it takes to get re-elected.
