Re: “Biden’s Big Bumbling Brussels Confab — Insists He Is NATO’s Hero”
“Given the months-long buildup the Russians staged before their invasion, enacting sanctions then may very well have deterred Comrade Vladimir. Just like Biden’s botched Afghan retreat, there were signs for months that the Taliban were quickly gaining territory. By the time Sleepy Joe reacted, it was too late. Just another ‘foreign policy’ decision debacle.” —Maryland
Re: “The Dems’ Student Loan Forgiveness Scheme”
“The dilemma: You went to school for all the right reasons. Took the right degree. Still, with your job, the burden of your student loans is controlling your life. NOW you have a way out. Vote Democrat and see the light. The problem is, the country you will get in return is not the same country of your childhood. You will no longer have student debt, but you will have people who tell you not to own a car unless it’s an EV that costs 50% more. People who get driven to work in a limo will tell you to take the bus each morning to get to work. They will tell you inflation at 7% is good for the country. Illegal aliens voting is right because they live here.” —Nevada
“My father used to say, ‘If you can’t afford the bus, walk!’ As a result, I don’t owe a dime to any college.” —North Carolina
Re: “‘Gender Reassignment’ Is Dangerous”
“As one of seven daughters, I tried hard to be the ‘boy’ my parents wanted. It didn’t work. I grew out of it when I noticed boys as something other than someone to play ball with. Had I been in school today, who knows what horrible things educators would have pushed me into.” —Alabama
Re: “Ketanji Brown Jackson Stumbles”
“Considering that they don’t teach the same history that I was taught in school, it doesn’t surprise me what people don’t know about our history anymore. And a simple answer for what a woman is — a person with XX chromosomes — would settle a lot of arguments because surgery can change your looks but not your DNA. And while you can feel however you might, your DNA is still fundamentally who you are biologically. Yes, I am aware there are people who have XXY chromosomes; it is a very difficult situation with some health conditions, as I understand. But they didn’t choose it. And people shouldn’t push such situations and agendas on children in schools. Try teaching good old-fashioned history, math, and reading to start.” —Michigan
Re: “KBJ Is No Jackie Robinson”
“We should be troubled by her listing of abortion among a list of ‘rights’ upheld by the court, and her description of Roe v. Wade as ‘settled Supreme Court law.’ Together with her refusal to address the question of when life and human rights begin, this indicates an unwillingness to consider new evidence that the Supreme Court erred in this and subsequent related cases. Her phrase ‘Supreme Court law’ should make any respecter of the Constitution cringe. It is one thing to speak about case law, in which a court determines how existing legislation ought to apply. It is another to approve of the Supreme Court making law out of alleged fringes of shadows, particularly when doing so could destroy millions of lives.” —Minnesota
Re: “In Brief: Democrats’ Kamala Harris Problem”
“When the criteria to select a running mate has nothing to do with real credentials and rests solely on a choice of gender and race, all you get is a post turtle candidate. Everybody knows the turtle was put on the post, doesn’t belong on the post, and doesn’t know why it is still on the post. The only way the turtle can get off the post is to fall from it or be removed from it. Kamala Harris is a post turtle. Will our next Supreme Court justice also be a post turtle? Every indicator points to yes.” —North Dakota
Re: “Thursday Short Cuts”
“1.) One might think that, with the huge error made with picking a vice presidential running mate based on skin color only, the Dems might have given second thought to their recent SCOTUS nominee. She’s coming across as another ideological loser. 2.) If Disney wants to go woke, remember this: Leftists are not happy people. They hate everything Disney has stood for. Can anyone imagine Snow White Karen or Cinder-Karen? The Left destroys everything it touches. Disney should think about that. 3.) I wish Senator Blackburn would have followed up her question to Biden’s SCOTUS nominee with the following: Are YOU a woman? Biden wants a black woman for this job; how does he know he has one?” —Nevada
Re: “America’s Real Heroes — Models of Service and Sacrifice”
“Mr. Alexander, this is one of the best columns you have ever written. For those of us who love this country, it is good to be reminded that we have people like Sgt. Davis and those others you mentioned who were willing to put their lives at risk to save others. I had the good fortunate to meet Sgt. Davis many years ago at a Vietnam Veteran’s Base Camp in Savannah, GA. The Base Camp was to honor Korean War veterans, and Sgt. Davis was the Guest of Honor. It was a pleasure to talk with him and his wife, Dixie. Truly great Americans of whom we need more these days.” —Georgia
