Let’s Thank Libs for Their Election Meltdown
The unhinged reactions to Donald Trump’s victory reveal the darker side of social media exhibitionism.
Aside from Donald Trump winning the 2024 election on November 5, the second-most-popular topic of discussion since then has been the eruption of social-media response videos of liberals who recorded themselves in alarm about the announcement of their new president.
The Left has become known for embracing every opportunity to make sure we are all constantly aware of their feelings and their anger, so a flood of hysteria is something that most of us were already expecting in the event of a Trump win over Democrat “nominee” Kamala Harris. However, the magnitude of this collective tantrum might be reaching historic levels, as the barrage of videos has been relentless. Furthermore, as the public responds with mockery or indifference, it seems to signal to them to become even more outraged.
Initially, the behavior was that of typical crying and screaming. One woman put herself on camera while sitting in her car with tears in her eyes and describing a silent interaction with another woman on the street earlier in the day. She claimed that as they made eye contact, the woman’s nod in her direction signaled that they were on the same wavelength of devastation.
Another woman — an adult — chose to share her screaming fit with the world. Positioning her camera behind the steering wheel, she let loose, “WHY? WHY? WHY?” and asked the TikTok universe, “DO YOU REALLY HATE ME THAT BAD?”
The waterworks and yelling were bad enough. However, things quickly escalated into physical demonstrations of retaliation, and the online demonstrations went from humorous to shocking.
One by one, a group of female allies came together to start the anti-Trump version of the 4B movement. To protest the patriarchy and make themselves less desirable to men, they began shaving their heads. A purple-shirt-wearing feminist posted footage of herself struggling to get her clippers to comply. In frustration, she reached for a pair of scissors and went on to chop off her hair. During the self-inflicted hack job, she reported to the audience that she could no longer support the beauty industry or anything that promotes “misogyny” or “the patriarchy.”
Never mind that the beauty industry is made up primarily of women, whose main customer base is other women.
In an even more dramatic act of defiance, since deleted from X, a woman sat on a chair in front of an individual wearing a black hoodie and a baseball cap, her eyes downcast as she allowed her long, dark hair to be cut and then shaved to the scalp. The caption on the screen read, “When this is the only thing we have left to control of ourselves.”
Ironically, a little self-control could have prevented this whole scenario.
Later, this same woman posted a follow-up video to offer thanks for the support she received from women around the world. She went on to claim that a bald head would keep her from being identified with women who voted for Trump. However, a quick observation of her masculinized appearance makes her look like a member of the patriarchy. Oops. She emphasized the importance of understanding “the fight that’s coming” without articulating what challenges she was gearing up to face. Truthfully, the conflict she thinks she’s in does not exist, and, as such, she might have an awkward moment when she realizes she shaved her head for no reason. Hopefully, she will then take a minute to figure out what drove her to make such an irrational move.
White Dudes for Kamala joined in the outrage as well. After the election, one man ranted about the display of American flags across the beach, saying that he was sick of “his flag being represented by white nationalist trash.” Another young man set up his camera in his kitchen to yell about the election results being “not okay” and “sick.”
The list goes on and on, and the more time passes, the more the gaggle of liberals going berserk online seems to grow.
While there is plenty of unhinged behavior to mock in these videos, the sad side of this is the countless examples of what it looks like when emotive folks are exposed to nothing but left-wing talking points from propagandistic media.
These people are suffering from a severe and deep-rooted level of programming. For years, they have heard nothing but fear-based messages from many of the news anchors that still have the nerve to call themselves journalists while spending most of their time in a tunnel on TikTok, where their algorithm has been curated to reinforce the false narrative they have been led to trust.
There is a genuine fear amongst these women that their lives are in danger, as media platforms like MSNBC relentlessly pushed the idea that Trump is Hitler.
Their anxiety was fueled by messages from Kamala Harris, saying that Trump was going to use the military against those who oppose him and that he and JD Vance would ban birth control and abortion.
Their panic has been stoked by claims that Republicans want to turn back the clock to 1950 and return women to the kitchen with no say in their lives, their families, or their future.
They have been told repeatedly that anyone who disagrees with them is unsafe, that anyone who voted for Trump is a threat, and that anyone who questions their ideas is only out to get them.
The hysterical reactions from these anguished folks serve as a warning about what can happen when discussion between opposing sides stops, information is limited to what the government wants its citizens to hear, and the critical attribute of curiosity ceases to exist.
