Biden Promises Radical Left Agenda
His first 100 days are shaping up to be terrible for America.
Though the 2020 presidential election has yet to be officially decided, President Donald Trump’s team faces a daunting task in exposing and proving election fraud before the deadline for states to certify their elections.
But with the media quickly crafting his victory as a fait accompli, Democrat Joe Biden has already declared his agenda for the first 100 days, and it’s just what you’d expect from the leader of a Democrat Party that has lurched far to the left over the last decade.
While paying lip service to the need for national “unity” (after spending the last several years calling half the nation white supremacists, neo-Nazis, “chumps,” and “just not very good people”), and promising to be a president for all Americans, Biden’s actual policy proposals prove he will cater almost exclusively to the far-Left base of his party.
Right off the bat, Biden promises to do away with the 1976 Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding for abortions. Every Congress and every president for four decades, regardless of their position on abortion, has supported the Hyde Amendment. Until 2016, that is, when the Democrat Party called for an end to it. And in 2020, Biden has dutifully prostrated himself to his party’s pro-abortion zealots, reversing the position he voted in favor of for 40 years. The same goes for the so-called Mexico City policy, which prohibits federal funding of foreign organizations that provide abortions overseas.
Biden has also declared he will reverse President Trump’s immigration policy. Rather than enforcing immigration law as passed by Congress, Biden promises to end funding for construction of the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, to protect the unconstitutional DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) policy created under Barack Obama, and to push for a “road map to citizenship” for roughly 11 million people living in the U.S. illegally.
And in a move that will weaken national security and almost certainly cost the lives of innocent Americans, Biden promises to end the heightened scrutiny of travelers from certain Muslim-majority countries that have been designated by the U.S. government as terrorism risks.
If a Biden victory is upheld, it will be due mainly to the Democrats’ successful disinformation campaign, which hung every single COVID-19 death around the neck of President Trump. And despite the relentless attacks and claims of Trump incompetence, Biden’s “plan,” if it could be called that, amounts to plagiarizing Trump’s — only “doing it better.”
Biden calls for a “Pandemic Testing Board” to provide diagnostic and antibody tests for the virus and coordinate distribution to the states, identify testing sites and staff them, ensure rapid test results, etc. Of course, Biden’s job is made considerably easier by the incredible progress President Trump’s team made on developing a vaccine — which early tests show to be 90% effective — in less than a year by working with the private sector and removing regulatory red tape that slows approval.
One area where Biden will find himself in hot water is the issue of American energy production. In order to secure the vote of the Bernie Sanders wing of the party, Biden embraced a lite version of the Green New Deal, an economic boondoggle that would cost a staggering $93 trillion dollars and cause U.S. energy prices to skyrocket.
When it was clear his position on the Green New Deal generally, and a fracking specifically, could cost him Pennsylvania and the Rust Belt states, Biden tried to tap-dance his way out of it, denying he had ever called for a fracking ban while conceding support for elements of the Green New Deal. A Biden administration will undoubtedly create immense regulatory hurdles to fracking and other fossil fuel production while subsidizing “green energy” sources.
Biden has also advocated for “Bidencare,” which is essentially Obamacare with a “public option.” And by “public option,” he means a government-subsidized health insurance plan that would compete directly with private health insurance (which is not really “competing” since, unlike government, private insurers can’t pass on their losses to the taxpayers). Eventually, the so-called public option will put private insurers out of business, ushering in a de facto version of “Medicare for All.”
And adopting another of Bernie’s “freebies,” Biden calls for two years of “free” community college, which of course is not free, but paid for by working-class taxpayers. This “free” taxpayer-funded college benefit would be extended to illegal alien “Dreamers” and those in job training programs. Biden also wants taxpayer-funded tuition to public colleges and universities for students from families making less than $125,000/year.
Biden also promises to push passage of the “Equality Act,” a bill that would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list of protected classes under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This is a particularly dangerous and pernicious bill, as it would eviscerate constitutionally protected religious liberties, undermine parental rights in the upbringing of their children, and destroy the ability of faith-based charities to operate and raise funds.
Speaking of divisive “unity,” Biden plans to undo Trump’s order banning racist Critical Race Theory from federal training.
Biden’s plans also include a massive tax and spending increase, reentry into the disastrous Paris Climate Accord, new environmental regulations, and much more.
Biden will face immense pressure from Bernie, AOC, and his party’s far-Left wing, who will demand implementation of their radical policies in exchange for their support.
At this point, if Biden emerges as president, the only thing stopping full implementation of the leftist Democrat Party’s socialist agenda is Republican control of the Senate, which now hangs in the balance with two runoff elections in Georgia.
