The State vs. Parents on the Transgender Agenda
Custody battles over brainwashed kids and disagreement amongst the lower circuit courts over non-gendered bathrooms.
The heavily contested gender ideology is a phenomenon that has flooded the modern scene with a vengeance. The battlegrounds are varied. Some are fighting the attempted subjugation of the language. Others focus on attacking the early sexualization and indoctrination of children. Some poor parents are in the midst of custody battles for children who have been talked into buying the transgender lie. Still others want to address accommodating gender-confused individuals’ bathroom preferences. This month has already seen three different court decisions regarding gender identity/confusion and the varying issues this enabled illness presents to the culture as a whole.
A sad decision was announced this week regarding a father’s fight to have custody of his son. Jeff Younger and his ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas (who is the non-biological mother and a pediatrician for a gender clinic), have been in a pitched battle over their nine-year-old son James and his twin brother Jude. James, however, is in a particularly vulnerable situation. Georgulas has been telling James that he is a girl starting around the time of the divorce. California’s new Senate Bill 107 circumvents other states’ laws regarding “transitioning” for minors, effectively making it a sanctuary state for these surgeries. Younger is very worried for his son.
His attempt to undo a lower-court ruling allowing his ex-wife to live anywhere she pleases with the children and prevent her from medically transitioning James was denied by the Texas Supreme Court. The justices contended that the motion was unnecessary since Younger had already put in place an order preventing Georgulas from medically transitioning James. But as Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project, pointed out: “Yes, because we all know that the people who sexually mutilate children have the utmost respect for law and decency. All the mom has to do is claim the child is suicidal and she’ll get a CA court order so fast your head will spin.”
This tragedy perpetuated by an ugly divorce keeps claiming the usual innocent casualties: the children.
Not all court decisions regarding the transgender issue are bleak. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit ruled in favor of Florida’s law that states students need to use the bathroom in line with their biological sex.
This is an interesting turn of events because another circuit court of appeals in 2021 ruled just the opposite.
This lack of consensus amongst the federal courts is an interesting step and will most probably be an issue that is decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The opening up of bathrooms to persons based on gender identity is one that is fraught and one that clearly endangers women and girls. Infamously, in Loudoun County, Virginia, the transgender bathroom policy laid the groundwork for a male student to take advantage of it and rape a female student. The superintendent tried to cover it up and moved the offending student to another school where that student proceeded to rape another female victim.
This was not just a one-off. In Edmond, Oklahoma, a girl was beaten senseless and her friends injured by a “transgender” student (biological male) in her school bathroom.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway from these different court cases is that this generation lies to its children and more importantly to itself. The consequences of these lies have real victims, and they are almost all children.
