Re: Election Laws Under Judicial Assault

“We the People cannot abide elections we cannot trust. And that should be a nonpartisan issue. Untrusted elections breed discontent. We must not miss the high correlation between those who oppose laws ensuring voter integrity and those pushing laws to restrict the right to keep and bear arms.” —Missouri

“I’m a firm believer of: ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.'
If the GOP loses another election because they get fooled again, then they get what they deserve! I’ve been saying this for years: What the GOP must do is embrace mail-in ballots. They must take the lead and develop a robust process. One that can verify legal citizens.” —Michigan

Re: Maui’s Failed Response

“Funny. I’ve never met a fire or any other natural disaster official that wants to have a conversation about equity. I would hope the people who are suffering through this devastating and spectacularly mismanaged situation remember it come election day. I hope they remember that the Democrat agenda trumped fighting a huge deadly fire that took their loved ones and their homes. I hope so, but I don’t expect it, since Dem voters never seem to learn that it’s the policies they keep voting for that always turn around and bite them.” —Pennsylvania

Re: Is Biden Incapable of Not Lying?

“Bush was roundly criticized for Katrina and the flyover. Truth is, there was no way he could have been on the ground because of flooding. Every effort was made to make Bush look bad. One of the worst was Shepard Smith, who blamed Bush for no water or food and said there were rapes, murders, and assaults in the Dome, which proved to be a lie. Obama waited 50 days before going to LA after the BP oil spill in order to make oil look bad, and he prevented many entrepreneurs from using their inventions to help the cleanup. Media helped the fraud, as they always do.” —Minnesota

Re: Chicago Dem Sets a Low Bar for Shootouts

“'If you aren’t mentally and emotionally equipped to solve disputes in a healthy manner, if you can’t help but harm each other, do so in a capacity in which children, elderly, and those not involved in high-risk activities are less likely to be affected.’ How clueless can one be to think that those causing the violence will ponder their mental or emotional status? Also, that well-written sentence might as well be written in a foreign language. ‘Now children, behave!’ would have the same effect.” —New Hampshire

Re: What Happened to Ron DeSantis?

“As stated, it is still very, very early in the race. Since polls come out about three times a day, it exhausts people who want it to go away already, and we still have over 14 months to go (God help us). That’s why I don’t count out DeSantis. Yes, Trump is the elephant in every room, but DeSantis is very smart and excellent on fighting woke crapola. I think down the road, when some undecided right-leaning voters have had a gutful of Trump, they will turn to the next best thing — an actual grownup with proven leadership skills and strong conservative values who loves this country as much as Trump does. If Trump is the nominee, I’ll vote for him, but I’d prefer a man with similar good ideas, but without all the baggage.” —Pennsylvania

“Everything here has truth and makes sense, but there are some looking at the other candidates because they see what the next Trump admin will probably look like. What the Dems did to him his first term will be repeated harder and serve to divide the country further and slow any progress Trump tries to make. Then again, there are other Republican candidates, including DeSantis and Vivek, who will be treated equally as bad if elected.” —Oregon

Re: Tuesday Short Cuts

“America First does not mean, as Biden says, ‘walking away from the rest of the world.’ A great parallel is one we all know. On a plane, in a crisis, we are taught to put our own oxygen masks on first, then on our child. It is never implied to put OUR mask on and then ‘walk away’ from the child. If we maintain our strength, we are more able to assist others. In the long run, we are able to give them more over time. Most countries know this and don’t want a weak America. That doesn’t mean they won’t take what they can from a weak administration. It’s more a matter of taking what you can get now and hoping for the best. Like welfare, if it is offered, few refuse. That doesn’t necessarily make it better for the recipient in the long run.” —Nevada
