Biden’s ChiCom Smoke and Mirrors
“The Big Guy” popped up on his basement cam to promote more “Russian disinformation.”
In October 2019, former New Jersey Democrat Senator Robert Torricelli warned: “The problem Democrats are facing in this race is that, if Joe Biden is the nominee, Hunter Biden becomes ‘Hillary Clinton’s emails.’” Turns out, that political threat assessment was more accurate than Torricelli imagined.
In direct contradiction to that claim, last week, emails between Hunter Biden and corrupt Ukrainian and Chinese communist intermediaries surfaced directly tying Joe “Big Guy” Biden to a pay-to-play scheme that would net him millions. That news was followed predictably and reflexively by a massive social media blackout on those reports in order to contain the damage to Biden’s presidential campaign.
Biden has responded to only one question about the scandal, and that was when CBS News reporter Bo Erickson caught him off guard. Erickson asked, “What is your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir?” Biden tersely replied: “I know you’d ask it. I have no response. It’s another smear campaign, right up your alley. Those are the questions you always ask.” For the record, CBS is not a “conservative” media outlet, and actually “those are the questions” real journalists should be asking. But Biden then went into hiding.
(For the record, on behalf of Twitter’s disgraceful blackout, last week CEO Jack Dorsey admitted, “Our communication around our actions on the New York Post article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we’re blocking: unacceptable. … Straight blocking of URLs was wrong, and we updated our policy and enforcement to fix. Our goal is to attempt to add context, and now we have capabilities to do that.” Too little, too late.)
Responding to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who led the “disinformation” chorus, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe made clear that Democrats have no evidence to back up their Russian disinformation claims. “Let me be clear,” Ratcliffe said. “The intelligence community doesn’t believe that, because there is no intelligence that supports that, and we have shared no intelligence with Chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign. … Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
Now, ahead of the presidential debate tonight, the Big Guy popped up on his basement cam to read a scripted rebuttal prepared by his puppeteers — a non-response to charges regarding his Ukraine/ChiCom Quid Pro Quos.
Biden declared: “This is the same garbage [from] Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s henchman. It’s the last-ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family. … Ron should be ashamed of himself.”
“Ron” would be Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI), whose committee report titled “Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption,” released in September, details how the Biden crime family profited off the Big Guy’s office. “What we revealed in our 87-page report is a vast web of connections with Chinese nationals, with people all over the world, again, trading on the Biden name,” Johnson said during an interview with Fox News. “Our report raises far more questions than it actually answered but it raises so many troubling issues that mainstream media is simply not looking at, they’re suppressing the information which is a scandal in and of itself.”
Biden also insisted, “The vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there’s no basis at all.” That was a reference to a spin letter cobbled together by a cadre of former Obama/Biden deep-state operatives headed by former CIA Director and leftist co-conspirator John Brennan. The letter claims the Biden emails have “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation,” adding, “If we are right, this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election.” However, they covered their butts, noting, “We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails…are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement – just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.”
This bogus letter and Biden’s response follows the old smoke-and-mirrors maxim, “Admit nothing, deny everything, and make counter-allegations.” And it has all the trademarks of “Russian disinformation.” It provides Biden obfuscation talking points in the last presidential debate.
That deflection notwithstanding, some major media outlets are finally giving the Biden corruption documentation the attention it deserves. The Wall Street Journal insists, “Joe Biden has an obligation to answer questions about his son’s influence-peddling and his own financial dealings — notably regarding China.” As Journal editor James Freeman asks, “What kind of meetings can a Chinese tycoon buy for $10 million a year?”
As for tonight’s final debate drinking rules: Each time Trump refers to Biden as “Big Guy,” take a shot. I hope to be pickled a half hour in!
