Demos Are Running Out of Options and Time
Biden’s approval polling has stalled and the Democrats’ midterm prospects are running on empty.
“Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men…” —John Adams (1776)
A red wave is predicted for the nation’s capital – but I would not start counting wins until that wave arrives. It may even arrive with enough force to return the Senate to Republican control, but the assurance of retaking control of the House, and putting Nancy Pelosi out of her misery (and that of our nation), will be a major step toward restoring the balance of power necessary to defend American Liberty from Joe Biden and his socialist Democrat Party.
Four months ago, I noted that Biden and his socialist cadres were thoroughly mired down in a deep pile of Demo dung.
There was little prospect of inflation subsiding, (still above 8%), and that’s combined with the less visible proliferation of “shrinkflation” — prices being upsized on common consumer products while packaging quantities are being downsized.
Indeed, many consumers scoff at the claim that inflation is just 8%, but it has become painfully apparent that returning this number to its pre-Biden levels will be increasingly difficult.
It is clear that rising inflation is the direct result of Biden’s BIG Government spending sprees, assured by Democrat control of the House and Senate. Inflation was seeded by his 2021 so-called “American Rescue Plan,” which dumped $1.9 trillion in taxpayer-funded graft into a $300 billion economic hole created by the COVID pandemic — on top of all the 2020 “pandemic relief” spending already being dispensed. The excess $1.6 trillion is indisputably a major factor in the inflation now crushing family budgets.
Then the Democrats dumped another $1 trillion “infrastructure bill” onto the inflation pile. And a bigger budget insult followed — Biden’s so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” a name that, in itself, reflects how Democrats have mastered the art of the BIG Lie. The Inflation Reduction Act does no such thing, but with a little help from flip-flopper Joe Manchin, Demos pulled it off.
In late June, the Supreme Court announced its decision overturning Roe v. Wade, which Democrats immediately used as fodder to rally their largest constituency, women, whom Demo strategists consider to be emotionally incontinent idiots.
Biden’s abject ineptitude kept his polling deep under water, hovering around 37%, but the SCOTUS abortion decision and his budget “wins” moved the needle back slightly in his direction, and that buoyed Demo hopes in the Senate and even the House.
To keep that needle moving in their direction, Democrats had an ace up their sleeve: Donald Trump. Since the party of Joe Biden didn’t have anything else to run on, they have for the past 18 months planned to run against Trump, thereby rallying their Trump-hating base and improving their chances in the 2022 midterms. Pelosi’s entire J6 Committee “investigation” was a charade to keep the Left’s fear and hatred of Trump front and center. Tag-teaming with Pelosi, Biden launched his “ultra-MAGA” chatter to make the election about Trump.
Bolstering that strategy, in late July Trump reentered the mainstream media headlines with a lot of speculation about whether he would run again in 2024, and if he would announce ahead of the midterms. At the time I wrote, “If Trump announces his 2024 candidacy before the midterm elections, Demos will celebrate!”
In early August, Biden activated his DoJ deep-state cabal with a high-profile FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, with warrants to seize classified documents. The DoJ is now attempting to indict Trump for crimes Hillary Clinton actually committed.
In early September, Biden doubled down on his effort to keep Trump the center of attention. In a national speech, he promised to “restore the soul and to secure the future of America,” to protect us from those dangerous “MAGA Republicans.” It was a bizarre speech, panned for its creepy authoritarian appearance.
As a result, elevating Trump’s profile elevated Biden’s approval polling, which by six points to about 43% approval. However, it has stalled, even though he threw in the taxpayer-funded student debt “forgiveness” bribe. His approval is now far under the minimal 50% approval rating conventional political pontification indicates is necessary for the Democrats to avoid substantial losses in the midterms.
While the Demos were depending on “abortion” rising high on the list of voter concerns rolling into November, it turns out that the economy and inflation are topping that list — despite the Demos’ best efforts to dupe Americans into believing the economy is booming. Biden laughingly asserted this week, “The economy is strong as hell,” but nobody other than his most dullard sycophants are buying that lie. Of course, the Leftmedia talkingheads and scribes allow Biden to lie with impunity.
Oh, speaking of inflation, did I mention that energy prices are rising again, despite Biden’s failed pre-election stunt to blackmail the Saudis? That includes a price surge on heating fuel as the first waves of cold weather are arriving. Meanwhile, Biden continues to drain our nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve in in order to look like he is doing something to bring oil prices down. Biden has released 180 million barrels of oil from what he considers his strategic political reserve, bringing the total reserve to 400 million barrels, the lowest it’s been in almost four decades. Biden laughably insists the sellout “is not politically motivated at all.”
Hot on the heels of their economic worries, voters are very concerned about crime and immigration.
It is clear even to many Democrats that Biden’s race-bait political agenda is directly responsible for surging violent crime nationwide, despite efforts by Demos to cover up the crime data. And they are aware that Biden’s intentional and reckless open border policy is directly responsible for millions of illegal immigrants flooding into the country.
Illegal immigrant competition for jobs now held by Latinos is costing Democrats some of their support.
In addition, there are looming foreign threats, including “nuclear Armageddon” in Ukraine, sponsored by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and economic warfare sponsored by Communist China’s dictator, Xi Jinping.
In a desperate attempt to move Biden’s needle above 43% by generating more media Trump bluster, Nancy Pelosi’s sham J6 Committee issued a subpoena to Trump last week, demanding he drop in. This was her last “Hail Mary,” one final pre-election shot at diverting attention to the former president. But alas, she got no traction. Trump has been keeping an uncharacteristically low profile, and it appears the Demos’ Trump card will have fizzled — if Trump keeps his head down for the next three weeks.
For his part, Biden is out trying to reinvigorate his female supporter outrage over abortion — yes, a support base that assumes binary genders because apparently men can’t actually get pregnant and have abortions. According to Biden: “In these midterm elections, it’s so critical to elect more Democratic senators to the United States Senate and more Democrats to keep control of the House of Representatives. And, folks, if we do that, here is the promise I make to you and the American people: The first bill that I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade.” Biden, hopes he can boost his approval numbers by resurrecting the Demos’ post-Dobbs decision polling boomlet in order to head off the GOP wave. But that is a steep climb.
So, what other cards can he play?
Fate might hand him a race-card, the Demos’ favorite play, if he can label some criminal assailant a “white supremacist.” But given the fact that the vast majority of violent interracial assaults are black-on-white, that card is getting worn out.
Biden hasn’t said much about the so-called “climate change” crisis lately, which rates higher than abortion on the list of voter concerns. Some parts of the Mississippi River are at record low levels due to Midwestern drought and that raises supply-chain concerns because a lot of commercial traffic could be impeded. Expect to hear more about that in the next week, unless it rains.
I expect Demos will call Barack Obama’s popular appeal to the rescue, even though he did not take in any of those poor Martha’s Vineyard immigrants.
However, offsetting Biden’s efforts to head off Republican victories is the emergence of yet more evidence this week exposing his corrupt pay-to-play ties to the ChiComs — ties that Republicans are set to investigate as soon as they retake control of the House.
So, approaching panic mode, what bombshells have the Demos yet to drop? We shall see, but with early voting underway in most states, and with three weeks until the only poll results that really matter — those on Election Day — time is fast running out for Demos to cut their losses.
Of course, they can still count on bulk-mail ballot fraud to help with some losses.
Finally, though I have already asserted that Biden will NOT run in 2024 and Gavin Newsom will be his heir apparent rather than Kamala Harris, on the outside chance that Democrats also lose the Senate in November, Biden’s tenure may end long before the next presidential primaries begin.
(Update: In bad news for the presumed 2024 Republican nomination of Trump, even with Demos in the dumps, the “red wave” turned into little more than a “red ripple.”)
