“Good editorial. Besides the Gordian knot of drawing a line on termination or disability, there is another problem. How long will health insurance pay to help improve the lives of the disabled? How long before society accepts that some disabilities are so severe that the afflicted’s life should be terminated? How long before funding for medical research to heal the disabled, prevent the disability, or improve their quality of life is denied? If we accept abortion as the solution, how can we justify wasting resources searching for a cure or prevention? This tragedy is so evil in so many respects that it takes one’s breath away.
