Re: “Where’s That Coming Red Wave?

This is what happens when the main criterion for getting Trump’s endorsement is to pay fealty to his bogus claims about the “stolen 2020 election.” You end up with a bunch of candidates who don’t know how to campaign on the issues that actually matter to voters. Trump has badly tarnished the GOP brand. Thanks to him, the GOP lost the House in 2018, the White House in 2020, and the Senate in 2021. I truly think it would not be a bad thing for the GOP to win the House but not the Senate, simply so that voters begin to see that simply being a Trump acolyte is not a recipe for general election success. Hopefully, that will make them think twice about nominating him again in 2024. DeSantis would make a much better candidate than Trump. —California

Where is the Republican plan? How do they intend to fight inflation? How will they fix the border issues? Where does the tax code need modification? How will they help the environment in a way that doesn’t break the bank and still maintains a quality standard of living? How will they restore the rule of law? How will they contain Russia or China or Korea or Iran? Aren’t elections about ideas? —Washington

Re: “Good Riddance: Liz Cheney Gets Clobbered in Wyoming

What many fail to understand is that the voters are sick of political dynasties. Families who are deeply rooted in politics (and nothing else) have failed time and again to work for the American voters. Corruption runs deep. Despite the pleas and supplications, it’s all about power and wealth to them. —Washington

Re: “Border Battle: Texas Closes Door, Feds Open It

I wondered why the Marshals Service would go left on immigration until I learned it is under Merrick Garland and the Marshals are appointed by the president. Given that the Department of Justice Political Protection is not only refusing to effectively enforce immigration law, but actively aiding and abetting its violation, one might speculate whether the salaries of its top officials are too small a percentage of their income, who is paying the other part, and whether some of it consists of clandestine foreign emoluments. —Minnesota

Re: “Good News: Parents Are Dropping Kids Out of Public School

I would encourage every parent of young children to provide schooling for them that does not come under the auspices of the Dept. of Education and has no affiliation with the teachers’ unions. The purpose of public schooling now is not education, but rather indoctrination. —Pennsylvania

Re: “NY Times Is the Literal Propaganda Arm of the Democrats

Why is anyone surprised by that rag? The same rag that withheld evidence of the Holocaust for months before it became public knowledge? To add insult to injury, the owner of the Times was a Jew, (then as now, pandering to a socialist president). If ownership would cover up this atrocity from his own people, where is the limit of their deceitfulness today when it comes to every other American? —Free Florida

Re: “The Energy Reduction Act

When you install solar panels on the roof of your home, just be prepared for trouble, physical and legal. Selling a home which leases rooftop solar panels presents a royal mess. Nothing is easy and there are many issues which those who lease the panels and those who own the panels do not anticipate upon sale and transfer of the title. Just remember that a solar installation which is leased does not belong to you. And if your buyer wants to be remove the installation, lots of luck. —Massachusetts
