2023 — In Case You Missed It…

There was some colossally stupid stuff that dropped last week.

“Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm.” —James Madison (1787)

While our team took a few days off with their families between Christmas and New Year’s Day, several of us remained in overwatch, and there were some notable year-end events topping of a year of notables.

Where to start? How about with Joe Biden’s can’t-miss list of his administration’s 2023 Major Accomplishments. His handlers posted it to his social media accounts, where all of his dullard lemmings could soak it up.

According to Biden, he: “tackled inflation and lowered costs” (Fact-check: False — unless somebody else pays for your groceries, gas, and pretty much every other consumer product); “tackled the climate crisis” (Fact-check: False — unless we never again hear his socialist cadres mention so-called “climate change”); “invested in America and created good jobs” (Fact-check: Bull — government spending is not “investment” and the private sector creates jobs); “protected access to reproductive health care” (Fact-check: False — unless you consider abortion “reproductive health care”); “made America safer from gun violence” (Fact-check: False — given that Biden and his Demos unleashed a record surge of violent crime nationwide, mostly black-on-black murder and assault); “made higher education more affordable” (Fact-check: HAHAHAHA); and “strengthened democracy at home and abroad” (Fact-check: Ludicrous).

His brilliant veep, Kamala Harris, offered this assessment: “Let’s always take a moment to also see what we have achieved thus far, while we clearly see the moment that we are presently in. So we have achieved a lot.” Yeah, she said it, and she’s the “brains” of the administration.

As you probably know, after accomplishing her goals as Biden’s “Border Czar,” she is now our nation’s “Artificial Intelligence Czar”! You can’t make this stuff up.

If you didn’t “feel” all those Biden/Harris accomplishment “warm and fuzzies,” no worry. Biden declared: “As we head into the new year, I’m as committed as ever to lowering costs and fighting for working families. Let’s get it done.” And you can trust Joe, he’s no “lying dog-faced pony soldier”!

Our friends at The Babylon Bee offered their list of Biden/Harris accomplishments, noting among other things that they: “cleaned up all the cocaine bags someone was leaving around the White House; set all-time record for people illegally streaming into the U.S.; raised dementia awareness by 400%; promoted transparency by releasing several ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ videos from Capitol staffers; saved democracy by arresting political opponents and not allowing people to vote for anyone else; set new record by spending 40% of time on vacation,” and finally, he “heroically stayed alive to save America from a Kamala Harris Presidency.”

Of those critical of Biden’s ineptitude and policies, John White at The Hill chastised, “Age jokes can’t diminish Biden’s unrivaled experience and wisdom.”

Notably, there were a few accomplishments Biden left off his list.

In July he declared, “We ended cancer as we know it.” That was a big one! And how about achieving “the largest debt reduction in American history”? The national debt just crossed the 34 trillion dollar mark this week — that’s $34,000,000,000,000!

And he forgot to mention that his strength as leader of the free world caused Putin to retreat from Ukraine.

Regarding complaints from his own party about the lack of accountability for U.S. funds being shoveled into Ukraine, don’t forget about the billions Biden is sending to other countries for critical national security programs. You know, like funding for that ballroom dancing program to “uplift transgender and gender diverse” youth in Peru, and that LGBTQ+ film festival promoting incest and child predation in Portugal.

Moreover, just days before the barbaric October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, Biden’s national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, claimed, “The Middle East … is quieter than it has been for decades.” Asleep at the wheel…

Apparently, after Biden’s surrender and retreat from Afghanistan, and the Hamas (read: Iran) attack on Israel, it’s all peace and love, man!

I am sure the fact that The New York Times gave the “mayor” of Gaza prime space on its op-ed page to pontificate about the evils of Israel helped. Not sure who made that decision, but they probably got a raise — unlike the poor fool who allowed Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) to post his opinion on that page.

Speaking of Israel, one of the year-end highlights was this revelation from Kamala’s Second Gentleman, Doug Emhoff, who demonstrated his depth of knowledge regarding Jewish traditions, asserting, “In the Hanukkah story, the Jewish people were forced into hiding. No one thought they would survive.” Yes, he said it.

Of course, elsewhere in the Middle East, there were those peaceful attacks by Iranian-sponsored terror groups on American troops and installations in Iraq. (Yes, American special operators are terminating Islamists in Iraq and Syria, and exterminating rats in other locations.)

Finally, after more than 115 attacks on our forces in Iraq and Syria since mid-October, on Christmas Day (so nobody would notice) Biden ordered U.S. strikes against Iran-backed militias in Iraq.

And on the subject of Iran, the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency announced that Iran has tripled its production of near-weapons-grade uranium – yet another perilous outcome of the Obama/Biden Iran nuke “deal”. What could go wrong? Fortunately, the U.S. can still rely on Israel to do its wet work in the region — most recently taking out 11 top Iranian commanders in a Damascus airport strike.

Regarding Biden’s degradation of U.S. military forces: With morale at a low, the Pentagon looked for lots of reasons to explain its recruiting failures, insisting it’s a “hot economy” problem. Apparently it’s not because of Biden’s “white supremacy” delusions. An extensive report concludes that, in fact, our military ranks are not full of “extremists.”

On the domestic front, Biden also forgot to mention his extraordinary success protecting our southern border, though his Homeland Security boss, Alejandro Mayorkas, declared a few months back, “We have seen the effectiveness of our approach [to the border].” Obviously, Kamala did not quite get that border thing fixed — or actually, she did fix it!

If by “effectiveness” he means the record invasion of illegal immigrants — eight million in three years under Biden — then yes. That effectiveness has ensured that the border surge in 2023 alone has surpassed the populations of 17 U.S. states. The immigration court’s backlog is now a record three million cases — that’s 4,500 cases per judge.

The good news is that in leftist cities that are pushing noncitizen voter registrations, few illegal immigrants are turning out.

As I have argued previously, if Republicans want to secure the southern border, they should withhold funds from states that don’t report the immigration status of violent offenders, thus enabling a database of such offenders. Typical of the daily assaults by illegal immigrants would be the rape of a special-needs woman by an illegal who had been previously deported five times.

For the record, while Biden is inviting millions of illegal immigrants across our border, offering free housing, education and healthcare, among the 600,000 Americans citizens who are living on the streets, 35,000 are veterans.

But never fear: He was not one of the 40 convicted murderers pardoned by outgoing Louisiana Demo Gov. John Bel Edwards.

Regarding illegal immigrants, in California: Under the rule of hair-gel boy Gavin Newsom, who is on the shortlist of those likely to be tapped by electors to replace Biden ahead of the 2024 election, beginning this week, illegal immigrants will qualify for free healthcare.

And in other Newsomville news: Beginning this week, California police are restricted from asking detainees uncomfortable questions, and they have to make sure that mugshots include the offender’s preferred pronouns.

Newsom has also enacted a law that toy store aisles must be gender-neutral to ensure that school children who are now being forced to watch “transgender propaganda” are unable to tell the difference between male and female.

This helps explain the continued “great migration” from socialist blue states to all American red states — which will likely cost those “progressive” blue states 12 House seats in the next congressional reapportionment.

Alas, there was some good news in the last week.

After Harvard University’s board quickly circled the wagons to protect its inept DEI hire, Claudine Gay, after her disgraceful equivocation on campus anti-Semitism in congressional testimony, some of the largest donors to their $50 billion endowment, headed for the door. Billionaires Len Blavatnik and Bill Ackman, and a growing list of others wealthy donors objecting the Gay’s presidency, threatened to pull funding if she remained.

Consequently, Gay is out – but not gone. She will still collect her $900,000 salary and retain a position on the faculty, despite the growing evidence of her serial plagiarism. (Maybe she was just following the example of another serial plagiarist president.)

Gay now has the distinction of the shortest serving college president in Harvard’s almost 4-century history.

Predictably, in her letter of resignation, instead of taking responsibility for her academic dishonesty and malfeasance, she played the “racism” victim card: “Amidst all of this, it has been distressing to have doubt cast on my commitments to confronting hate and to upholding scholarly rigor — two bedrock values that are fundamental to who I am — and frightening to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus.”

Right. (By the way Claudine, RuPaul called and he wants his glasses back.)

Of course the Demo’s race-hustling cadres immediately blew a gasket.

Boston University’s celebrity Diversity, Equity and Inclusion expert, Ibram X. Kendi protested, “Racist mobs won’t stop until they topple all black people from positions of power and influence who are not reinforcing the structure of racism.”

Likewise, the Demo’s Leftmedia talkingheads and scribes framed it as all politics. Consider this headline from the AP: “Harvard President’s Resignation Highlights New Conservative Weapon Against Colleges: Plagiarism.”

The Harvard demotion may be the beginning of a long-overdue debate about what universities should be doing. Notably, the ripple effect of the “tolerance” for anti-Semitism on Ivy League campuses has already slashed the qualification for the “donor door” entry point from $20 million to $2 million in recent months.

In other good news, The Washington Post announced for Christmas that it is laying off hundreds of employees due to lack of revenue. Gosh, can’t Jeff Bezos spread some wealth and keep them on the payroll? Not only is WaPo losing $100 million a year, but it reportedly lost over half of its online engagement by the end of 2023.

Part of the explanation for those reader and revenue problem could have to do with findings in a year-end Gallup poll. One of the top five shifts in public opinion was the drop in trust of the mainstream media. That coincides with another Gallup poll revealing that confidence in public institutions continues to decline.

Coming up, Bill Clinton is about to get outed as “Doe 36,” who appears more than 50 times in the Jeffrey Epstein document dump.

Finally, one straggling bit of news this past week that I bet you missed, despite it being one of the most important developments in our nation’s history: Researchers have determined that taking selfies is now a serious “public health problem,” which requires immediate “safety messaging.” Apparently, young women taking selfies in dangerous locations are dying. Personally, I think they are deserving of “Darwin Awards” for taking themselves out of the gene pool.

All said, the past is past. Here at The Patriot Post, we are charged up for the challenges of 2024, and moving forward!

PS: The Patriot Post’s Year-End Campaign that funds our team and operations is still 3% short of goal. We operate on very tight margins and have not increased our 2024 budget.
